CA Datacom® Server provides web applications and other distributed applications with open access to CA Datacom®/DB data by delivering ODBC and JDBC database drivers that implement standard database connectivity protocols. CA Datacom Server provides a standard database interface to allow Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) tools and web services to utilize CA Datacom/DB as the database repository.

CA Datacom® SQL provides structured query language access for the mainframe environment. It is integrated into the CA Datacom/DB database engine, enabling SQL access to existing CA Datacom/DB navigational databases and other non-relational legacy data sources (via Transparencies). It also enables full SQL-based RDBMS application development. Current applications can continue to run unchanged, and you can use SQL to access the same data in new or existing applications.
