CA Vtape is a fully-functional, software-based virtual tape system designed for DR. It uses existing tape and mainframe hardware to improve tape utilization. It simplifies tape management and lowers costs. NO JCL or application modifications are needed. It is vendor neutral and supports any z/OS attached tape or DASD device, providing investment protection. It also exploits z9 zIIP processors, and is very easy to install and use. It is integrated with the CA Vantage GMI (GUI).
