CA VM:Sort™ for z/VM allows you to sort your files in ascending or descending order and merge separate files into a single file. Fixed-length and variable-length records, tape and reader files and up to 16 disks at a time can be sorted. CA VM:Sort for z/VM simplifies processing, reduces the potential for errors and enhances productivity. Users can rearrange and delete fields before or after sorting and write user exits to create records, delete records, and change data in existing records.
